Wendy Moller is an experienced campaigner for the Paralympics in Rio 2016, having represented South Africa para-dressage at three Paralympics in 2000, 2004 and in 2012 where she was placed 9th overall. She has also been fortunate to have competed at the World Championships in Belgium in 2003 and the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010. A true athlete, she started her international sporting career as a swimmer where she competed in the 1996 Paralympic Games and the 1998 World Swimming Champs and only started riding when a shoulder injury ruled her out of further competitive swimming.
“I don’t see the “dis” in disability and try to focus on the ability in all aspect of my life. Life is a journey and I try to enjoy the ride with all the ups and downs. Horses are very humbling and can have you on Cloud Nine the one day and on the floor with broken bones the next. Guts courage hard work and determination always pays off!“
