Hayley Parker

Hayley Parker represents South Africa on the international circuit in the eventing discipline, currently training under Captain Mark Philips.  In South Africa, Hayley was the Junior Eventing Champion for three consecutive years and won 25 shows in a row with her first junior horse, Alzu Alaska, whom she started riding as a 12 year old and competed up to two star level.  Her dream to event internationally came true when she sourced her horse Pohlands Cuppuchino in 2013.  She believes that the key to successful riding is establishing a harmonious partnership with your horse, and letting horses be a horses in their spare time.  She is a fitness fanatic and enjoys running in her spare time.

“Establishing a partnership and being in harmony with your horse is fundamental to success. Keeping your horse happy through varied work is hugely important. I also like my horses to be just that – horses. My horses are out in their fields all day with some even living outdoors, 24 hours a day.”
